About

Hi, friend! I’m Margot.

I’m the creator and host of Beating The Druma podcast about the art and science of customer advocacy. Every company dreams about having customers that will sing their praises—and on this show, we’ll explore just how to make that happen by interviewing customer marketing and advocacy leaders around the globe. You can find Beating The Drum on Apple Podcasts or wherever fine podcasts are sold.

I’ve spent nearly a decade creating, nurturing, and mobilizing customer evangelists for B2B and B2C tech companies in Silicon Valley. I’m driven by a passion for storytelling and service, and customer advocacy allows me to do both in spades. I’ve previously been featured in media outlets like Forbes, Mashable, and The Muse for building engaging customer communities and a creative, outside-the-box approach to storytelling.

I’m a podcast aficionado, public radio nerd, and a fan of anything pun-related. (Just call me the village idiom!) I believe in curiosity without assumptions and will always, always, always err in the direction of kindness.

If you’re interested in chatting, or have a punny joke to share (only the most terrible one you can think of, please), you can reach out here. You can also find me on LinkedIn. Thanks for stopping by!

Special thanks to my friend and incredibly talented designer, Isabelle Pleno, for helping me bring this vision to life.
